A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. SHIRE courageously took that step 25 years ago. Big achievements are made through small but concrete resolves. Over the past 25 years, SHIRE has remained steadfast and unwavering in its resolves to achieve quality healthcare for all, especially for African Americans and other people of color. Your friendship, prayers and encouragement have sustained us through lean years and challenging times for our people. You gave us hope to keep on keeping on and our communities are all the better for our work of health education and innovative empowerment programs. While we are proud of our achievements, there is more work to be done.
